C2 level is the second stage of the CEFR 'proficient [language] user' category. At this level, the student should be able to read, understand and write any type of document, even specialized texts like academic articles. They will also be able to express themselves as well as a native speaker.

At this level, you might be able to communicate in most situations, being fluent in French. C2 level: 1000 to 1200 hours of learning. This level is focused on mastering the language, making you able to communicate in really specific situations and fields of study.

Once you have reached the C2 level, you are considered an advanced student of the English language. You now have a firmer grasp of more complex grammar structures, implicit meaning in both text and speech, as well as the ability to speak English fluently in almost any environment.

SKILLS AT LEVEL C2 The CEFRL specifies the following: He/she can understand with ease practically everything he/she hears or reads. He/she can summarize information and arguments from different spoken and written sources, and present them coherently and concisely.

If you achieve a scale score of 200–230 (grade A, B or C) in your exam, you will receive the Certificate of Proficiency in English at Level C2.
