Course description

Our Teacher focuses on all four aspects of Language (Listening, Speaking, Writing, Reading). By the End of Level B1 you will be able to do the following : Understand and write down key points if they are familiar topics relating to work, school, leisure, etc.

What will I learn?

  • You understand the key points of an everyday conversation, or a radio or television broadcast.
  • You will work on expressing yourself on personal or professional subjects
  • You will take part in a conversation on subjects that you are familiar with

This will help the student to participate in and understand the main points of a longer conversation as long as the exchange is slow and clear enough and about topics familiar to the student. They will also be able to read longer texts in the language.

At the DELF B1 level, you are a candidate who is already more comfortable with the language. Your level is described as “independent”. You can manage in everyday situations and you can also give your opinion, understand a discussion, or interact with other people.

You might take around 6 and 8 months to achieve a B1 level if you engage in 10 hours each week for your French studies. It might take you longer, possibly up to a year or more, if you are starting from scratch and have no prior knowledge of the language.
