Course description

In the B1 German courses in Berlin, you will understand the main points of the conversation if the speaker uses a clear-cut language, concerning familiar topics such as work, school, leisure, etc. You can handle most situations, e.g. encountered when traveling within the language area. You can express yourself simply and coherently about familiar topics and personal areas of interest. You can talk about experiences and events, describe dreams and goals in life, and give brief explanations about plans and opinions.

How Long Does it Take to Get Fluent in German? If you take intensive classes (around 20 hours per week), you can reach the B1 level of day-to-day fluency. Fluency takes more than 3 months, but you can still learn in less time if you adjust your strategy.

The B1 German course is right for you if you have completed language level A2. Whether online or on site: Here you will learn to use the German language in an independent way and to communicate at an intermediate level - with role-plays and varied teaching materials for listening, speaking, reading and writing.

You need at least B2 or C1 level of German knowledge. On the other hand, if your study program is partially in German, then B1 might be accepted at certain Universities and certain others may ask for B2. But if your study program is completely in English, then you do not need even A1.

Intermediate B1 to B2 – German level B1 takes 200 hours and B2 takes approximately 300 hours to become fluent. Advance C1 to C2 – C1 Level takes around 240 hours and C2 level takes around 240 hours to complete the whole course and become a pro at speaking German.
