The DELE C2 certifies sufficient linguistic competence to communicate effectively in any situation, proving ability to spontaneously adapt to any context, with a high degree of precision. The language users show subtle control of nuances which allow for fluent and natural expression in all interactions.

This course, taught within the context of Spanish and Latin-American cultures, is a continuation of the study of elementary Spanish with an emphasis on listening, speaking, reading and writing. Students improve their pronunciation and speaking skills along with their understanding of spoken Spanish.

-Level C1: 700-800 hours, equivalent to 35 or 40 weeks. -Level C2: 1000-1200 hours, equivalent to 50 -54 weeks. AIL Madrid uses this scale too. For students hoping to gain a 'working knowledge' of Spanish, which means knowing enough to 'get by' in most situations, students should be aiming for A2 or B1.

Culture: Can I use my knowledge of Spanish-speaking cultures? Spanish 2 furthers the study of grammar, vocabulary and cultures of Spanish- speaking countries. Students improve listening, speaking, reading and writing skills.

A C2 Proficiency qualification shows the world that you have mastered English to an exceptional level. It proves you can communicate with the fluency and sophistication of a highly competent English speaker.

An example of beyond-C2-level English is academic English. Academic English requires a different level of formality, longer and complex sentences, and is sometimes filled with jargon (vocabulary specific to a particular field of research).
